In acid-proof installations special coatings are used if the load with chemicals, high temperatures or abrasion is too high for the building structure. Therefore we developed a suitable acid protection system over several years. This system provides the highest possible protection for your application.
The use of pure silicates, from which glass and quartz sand are also composed of, allows a permanent protection for your building against high loads like concentrated acids or temperatures above 1350° C.
Our system for building protection against high loads consists of various products.
Deeper ruptures and major outbreaks have to be filled with the repair mortar Maleki-RM 500 or with the leveling mortar Maleki-BV 310. For the construction of a base layer for additional coatings please use the screed Maleki-FEC 370. Depending on the processing version of the material a layer thickness of up to 60 mm can be achieved.
Thereafter a continuous waterproofing is performed. For the single waterproofing use the silicate waterproofing Maleki-SWP 270. For higher application thicknesses or reprofiling works use our silicate putty mortar and grout Maleki-SBS 860. In case of pipelines or shafts use Maleki-SSM 860. This mortar is applied quickly by mechanic centrifugal processing. This avoids tedious hand work.
As an acid- and abrasion-resistant wear layer we recommend the use of the silicate acid protection mortar Maleki-TPC 200. This mortar is extremely resistant in the pH-range 0 – 14 and serves as an ideal final coating.
In the area of acid-proof installations with ceramic tiles or other floor coverings we also offer you high quality silicate products. After application of the waterproofing with Maleki-SWP 270 our silicate tile adhesive Maleki-SK 690 (class C2 FTE) is applied. The tile adhesive features excellent acid- and chemical resistance like all our silicate products and combines this with all properties of a high quality thin-bed mortar. After that the joints have to be filled with the silicate joint filler Maleki-SF 30.
This system description and the associated figure show a possible layer structure. The necessity of all single steps or products is dependent on the local conditions. All these steps have to be confirmed in case of doubt. For every application the relevant information in the technical data sheets has to be followed.
